The
Cast
Kent Reynolds, age
23. Kent supplies a fair portion of the United States' Gross
National Product of snark, a necessary and important service for the
country. When not doing that, he tends to be an all-purpose
geek, nice guy, and purveyor of commonsensical advice--except, of
course, where his own life is concerned, because of the big Kent-shaped blind spot there.
Brighton Forrester,
age 24. Brighton was born and raised in the Midwest, which
explains why she says “howdy” and feels the need to feed anyone who
comes into her apartment. It also explains why she decided to
dye her hair and become an atheist. Every inch a lesbian,
Brighton considers herself a bit of a ladies’ lady... and not without
good reason.
Harlequin "Quin" Jones, age 23.
Quin is an intellectual with a damn spiffy hat. He
is also Kent's best guy friend, as proven by his willingness to stay up
until the drunken wee hours of the morning discussing the literary
worth of graphic novels and the superiority of James T. Kirk to all
other
Star Trek
captains ever. Is perpetually between jobs on principle.
Shelly Gaines, age
24. Little is known about Shelly other than that she is a) a
lesbian, b) a tabletop gamer (a GM, no less!), and c) blessed with
generous...assets. Shortly after her introduction, she was
passed over by Brighton for another, blonder lady and left in Kent's
company. He must've made a good impression, because he's now
got a standing invite to be the third at her weekly tabletop game.
Melody McKenna, age 25.
Melody is also a mystery, despite being the aforementioned
other, blonder lady. Her and Brighton's primary
interactions didn't really involve
words,
as such. Will she make another appearance? Or was
she really just a one-night stand? Only time will tell.
But the fact that she's included in this page would seem to
indicate a certain likelihood of recurrence.
Elise Beauregard, age 17.
Elise is a cashier at the Save-U-Much grocery store near
Brighton and Kent's apartment complex. She's been nursing a
slighty creepy but mostly harmless infatuation with Brighton for a
while and likes to use Interblag abbreviations in everyday speech.
Boiled down to her essence, she's bubbly, sweet, and
well-meaning, but it just can't be helped that she's also a teenager.
