Holy hell, we're back!

In case you've been wondering, yes, the characters have gotten a little update in their designs. It's been two months, after all. I didn't want y'all to think I'd been spending that time doing nothing.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with a few things in this strip (gasp!). One is the way the boys look in the first panel. I think they look darling.

They also look queer as hell, but whatever.

Another is Gina's expression in the second panel. She reminds me of a Disney villain. Which I'm sure she'd be pleased to hear.

In more personal news, I am currently seeking one full-time job to replace the two part-time ones I have right now. I figure if I'm going to be working forty hours a week, I ought to be getting benefits out of it. Especially medical insurance, as it's possible I might have fibroid cysts in my uterus.

Aaaaanyway, it's nice to have the comic up and running again. Depending how busy the next few weeks are, I can't promise that all the upcoming Fridays' strips will be in colour, but I'll try my damnedest.

I'm all for Disney villain!Gina, and for the character design updates in general. One of my favorite things about comicking is seeing how things evolve visually over time. Also, seeing how characters in general evolve over time. I can already tell that Gina's going to be one of those freewheeling types who'll be a lot of fun to write*.

Anyway, for those of you who weren't fond of Monday's grand but geeky return, here is something a little more along our usual lines. Things will be progressing in this fashion for a while, I suspect, and perhaps there will be (as requested by a significant percentage of our readership) more boobs somewhere down the pike, though I make no promises at this juncture.

But when a comic features not one but four lesbians, boobs are bound to happen eventually. That's just math.

It suddenly occurs to me that the solitary bastion of heterosexual femininity in this comic is Gina, and her idea of a good bedbound romp involves restraining devices. I'm not sure whether to be incredibly amused or profoundly embarrassed by this oversight. ...I shall choose to be incredibly amused, as embarrassment causes me to turn an uncomfortable shade of glowing red that would probably register even in text format. And also because one can never have too many lesbians kicking around.

So long as we don't cross over into The L Word-style Drama (yes, with a capital "D"), I think that we'll be fine.
