Sarah wanted me to mention that she has been too busy slaying dragons and laying women to write a post to accompany today's comic. She adds that only one of those is actually true.
Quin is shaping up to be something of an idiot savant, I've noticed. That was completely accidental but, as it turns out, kind of interesting. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of that in the immediate future.
I'm finding myself to be incredibly happy with the way the characters are developing. This is an unusual situation, as I generally find myself criticizing the living hell out of everything that I write until it's a mere shell of its former literary self, sniveling and curled in a fetal position in some dank corner of my hard drive until it dies a lonely, most likely undeserved death.
...I may have carried the metaphor too far--I have a habit of that--but you understand what I mean. Whatever the reason may be, Fancy That is not one of those unfortunate prosaic sacrifices, and for that I am glad.
I took Ubuntu (a variant of the Linux operating system) out for a spin recently. I won't bore you with all the details of my experimentation with it here. You can check my blog for that. Suffice to say that I liked Ubuntu well enough as an OS that I'm writing this post in its built-in text editor and will be uploading post and comic via Ubuntu's very own FTP software.
Yes, it is open source. Why do you ask?
For those of you who care, I have managed to slough off my unemployment status as a snake would its old skin. So there is no longer any danger of missed days due to my busy prostitution schedule. It was difficult to give up, but I think spending forty hours a week on a phone is probably healthier.
Those forty hours a week will also actually pay the rent. There's not much of a market for short white guys with beards in the streetwalking biz.
